Plagiarism is a very serious issue and students/people of all ages should be concerned to know the facts. The safest policy is to always acknowledge who said what when you are using words or ideas from someone else in your writing. Put information from others in quotation marks and make sure to tell who is speaking or giving the information; and also tell from where you borrowed the information. Plagiarism, according to Wikipedia.org, can be defined as stealing.
